Local News

In 2015, we saw a record-setting number of unprovoked shark attacks, including seven in Hawaii.

The Florida Museum of Natural History says there were 98 attacks around the world, with the U.S. having the most.

There were 30 in Florida, eight in North and South Carolina, with Texas and California each having two.

Experts say shark attacks will continue to rise as the human populations grow, and shark populations recover.
