HONOLULU (KHON2) — A woman is dead and a man is in custody on suspicion of murder after an argument turned violent on Wednesday, June 30, in Nanakuli.

A source said it all started with a domestic dispute on Hakimo Road just after 7 a.m.

Kevin Manners, 41, was arrested for allegedly murdering his wife and is awaiting charges. According to sources, police were called to the scene by their daughters who said their parents were arguing.

Police confirmed the victim was stabbed multiple times. Emergency Medical Services said the female was dead at the scene but they have not released her identity.

Neighbor Maya Bolt said it was alarming.

“Hearing about it and knowing that I live up the road, it’s scary,” Bolt said. “Especially because I have a daughter and we have a lot of kids up-and-down here. So it’s a lot to take in.”

Police were still at the scene hours after the incident. The Hawaiian Humane Society was also at the scene and confirmed they retrieved four dogs from the home.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
