Volkswagen warning drivers of a major recall after possible suspension issues

Volkswagen is recalling more than 56,000 cars and SUV’s in the U.S. due to suspension issues.

The company is warning drivers that the rear coil springs can break without warning, which can cause people to lose control of their vehicles.

The recall covers certain 2015 through 2019 Golf Hatchbacks, the 2017 through 2019 Golf Sportwagen, the 2019 Jetta Sedan, and the 2018 and 2019 Tiguan SUV.

No crashes have been reported. 

Volkswagen will notify affected owners.
