University of Hawaii students from the Project Imua Mission Six Team are happy and excited because of their achievements.

They are being recognized for rocketry excellence.

The team is comprised of 14 students from Honolulu, Kapiolani, and Windward Community Colleges, as well as UH Manoa.

The group launched its rocket in Alabama last month, at the NASA Student Launch Competition.

They finished in the top 10, out of 45 teams.

The team was also given the “Rookie Award” for the top new team in the competition.
