Tripler nurse accused of stealing 8,500 pills from hospital

An employee at Tripler Army Medical Center has been indicted on drug charges.

An investigation found Olivia Ronquilio was stealing hydrocodone and oxycodone from the hospital.

According to the indictment, the hospital noticed 10 pills were missing on March 10.

An internal investigation later revealed that 8,500 tablets were gone.

Surveillance video of the drug vault showed Ronquilio used her login to get into the vault and create a fake prescription to get the drugs.

The indictment says Ronquilio planned to sell them.

Ronquilio was arrested on March 23.

She’s due in court on April 9.
