A new poll of 6,405 Travelzoo members named Honolulu the ‘friendliest’ city to visit. Hawaii ranked third behind Florida and California for states.

The global Internet media company said that the friendly gestures most felt around the world were “help when you’re lost,” “dining and entertainment recommendations,” and “warm greeting.”

“Sometimes referred to as ‘Paradise of the Pacific’, it’s no surprise that Honolulu ranks as the friendliest U.S. city. Tropical temperatures and beautiful lei greetings make Honolulu a fan favorite. However, coming in second place for the friendliest U.S. city is a more surprising choice — New York — with friendly faces outweighing fast paces in the Big Apple.” – Travelzoo
