About 7,000 people spent their Saturday morning at the 41st Annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk in Waikiki.
The walk started at Magic Island and went through Waikiki. Along the way through Waikiki, the walkers got many treats from designated checkpoints.
“It is a fun walk. It’s the only walk that you’ll do that you gain weight. Because at every stop there is food.” said, Mufi Hanneman.
In the month of May, each island held a charity walk culminating with today’s walk in Waikiki.
All of the money raised on each island goes to local non-profit organizations on that island.
The event is put on by the Hawaii Lodging and Tourism Association.
