The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced Wednesday that nearly 10,000 cases of Wish-Bone Ranch salad dressing are being voluntarily recalled.
The ranch dressing, sold in 24-ounce bottles, is being recalled after a customer alerted representatives the product was accidentally mixed with Wish-Bone Blue Cheese dressing, which contains eggs – a potential life-threatening allergen, the FDA says.
The product was produced on April 23rd by a contract manufacturer. In total, 8,678 cases of Wish-Bone Ranch dressing, distributed nationwide, are involved in the voluntary recall. The product is safe to consume for anyone who is not allergic to eggs.
