The Queen’s Medical Center announced on Friday, it will be collaborating with MD Anderson Cancer Network to bring world-renowned cancer expertise to Hawaii’s cancer patients.

MD Anderson is the country’s number one cancer center, and this partnership will allow Queen’s physicians to use guidelines, practices and treatment plans developed by the network.

“For us to make sure the approach to cancer here and the delivery of cancer here is at the level that an individual would want to go away,” said The Queen’s Medical Center chief of oncology Dr. Clayton Chong.

There are 23 other facilities across the United States that participate in this network.
