Renovations continue at the Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina in West Oahu.
As a result, a temporary “hard wall” fence and boardwalk will be going up to protect the public.
Ko Olina said it is expected to remain until the hotel’s renovation and new public access pathway is completed in early 2016.
The shoreline will still be accessible, officials said.
This comes after some public outcry in March when a wall was erected on the beach without getting proper permits from the city.
This time around, Ko Olina says it complied with all municipal rules and building regulations.
