Surgical unit closing at Wahiawa General Hospital

The surgical unit at Wahiawa General Hospital will stop doing surgeries on May 15. The unit will be closed completely at the end of the month.

The hospital’s CEO said in a statement, “After an extensive analysis, it was clear that our surgical unit was no longer financially viable or sustainable.” 

Wahiawa General said that it is working with surgery patients.
