HILO (KHON2) – Akoni Pule Highway is closed between Waipele Street and Hawi Road in North Kohala due to a structure fire Tuesday morning.
There is currently no estimate of how long the closure will last.
Officials say use Kynnersley and Hawi Road as an alternate route.
