Hawaii Emergency Management Agency (HI-EMA) and the City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Emergency Management will conduct siren testing on Oahu Monday morning.
Sirens will go off at Crestview Community Park between 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Residents nearby may hear the siren sound for six to eight times during 30-second to one-minute intervals during the identified timeframe. Testing will include checks of the public address system and short blasts known as “burps.”
During the tests, technicians will check that installation work on this siren has been completed properly.
Residents may call HI-EMA at (808) 733-4300 if they have any questions or concerns regarding modernization of the Statewide Outdoor Siren Warning System.
Contact the City and County of Honolulu Department of Emergency Management at (808) 723-8960 to report routine siren operational issues.
