There’s been another reported BB gun shooting, this time involving a school bus.
Last week, Honolulu police told KHON2 there were more than a dozen BB gun shootings in a month.Someone was arrested on Friday in connection with one of the cases, but was released after posting bail.
Police told KHON2 they do not believe it’s just one person behind all shootings.
Around 4 p.m. Monday, at the corner of Lumiauau and Lumiloke Street, a bus driver for Ground Transport reported window damage to her bus.
The driver was on the way back from her school bus route. According to the driver, the damage came from what was possibly a BB or pellet gun. There were no children in the bus at the time.
KHON2 got some reactions from people that live in the area.
“I’ve heard about it, and didn’t expect to hear about it in Waikele,” said parent Sarah Pacheco. “It’s such a quiet community, never hear about that, so it’s really shocking that something like that could happen in our neighborhood, too.”
The case is being investigated as criminal property damage in the third degree.
No arrests have been made yet.
