Resolution in city council seeks forensic audit of HART

There is a new push to keep Honolulu’s rail project in check by taking a closer look at how the project has been run so far.

Earlier this year, an audit found the cost of the project will likely exceed $9 billion dollars.

That’s nearly double the estimate that was given when construction began.
A resolution at the city council wants to have a forensic audit done to closely review the project’s contracts, specifically those signed before the creation of HART.
