Beginning Wednesday, Sept. 9, a contractor will be working in the access lane to Castle Medical Center, between Kailua Road and Ulukahihi Street.
The access lane to the hospital will remain open to motorists and emergency vehicles. The contractor, however, will be working to the side of the access lane. Motorists traveling in the area are advised to exercise caution and abide by posted signs. Additionally, a worker from the contractor, D & C Plumbing, will be on-site to direct traffic.
The work is to realign a portion of an 8-inch waterline as part of a Board of Water Supply valve replacement project in Kailua.
Work will take place 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the construction work in the access lane will be completed in approximately one week.
