Police search for suspect in First Hawaiian Bank robbery in downtown Honolulu

CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a man wanted for robbing the First Hawaiian Bank in downtown Honolulu.

On Jan. 12, police said the suspect entered the bank on Bishop Street, approached the teller, handed a demand note, and stated that he had a weapon. He then fled in an unknown direction.

He is described to be in his 40s, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 240 lbs. with brown eyes. He was wearing an aloha shirt, blue denim shorts, and a black cap, and carried a black backpack.
