Police asks for public’s help in locating two men related to kidnapping

Crimestoppers and the Honolulu Police Department are asking for the public’s help in locating two men who are wanted for questioning in a kidnapping case involving David Kawika Pukahi.

The case has been reclassified from one that originally involved a missing person.

On Monday, April 6 at approximately 1:10 p.m., Pukahi was last seen in the company of Gabriel Schimidt and possibly another male identified as Shawn Hardy. They were seen leaving Emerson Road in Haleiwa in a dark blue Chevrolet Silverado truck.

Pukahi has not been seen or heard from since.

Gabriel Schimidt is 38, 6-foot-tall, 195 lbs., and has brown hair and hazel eyes.

Shawn Hardy is 44, 5-foot-8, 165 lbs., bald-headed and with blue eyes.
