Over 150 people are lined up days before the Summer Fun Program registration

Registration for the city’s popular and fun-filled Summer Fun Program and the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) classes begin May 11. 

Walk-in registration for these programs is held on-site, in person and is organized by the Geographic Park District. 

The registration schedule includes:

District I (Hawaii Kai to McCully) and District II (Makiki to Aiea)

  • May 11 – 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. 
  • May 13 & 14 – 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

District III (Pearlridge to Waianae to Wahiawa), District IV (Waialua to Waimanalo) and District V (Patsy T. Mink Central Oahu Regional Park)

  • May 18 – 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. 
  • May 20 & 21 – 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. 

Enrollment is conducted on a first-come first-served basis as space is limited and spots can fill up quickly. 

Registration continues until all spots are filled. 

There is $25 registration fee (waived for eligible families receiving financial assistance) and an activity fee, which varies from site-to-site depending on the number of excursions and activities. 

The activity fee cannot exceed $75. 

All fees are due at the time of registration. 

Accepted forms of payment include cash and checks made payable to the “City and County of Honolulu.”
