Work furlough inmate William Williams is in custody Tuesday, after failing to return to the Laumaka Work Furlough Center.

State sheriffs and Honolulu Police were notified when he did not return as scheduled by 4:30 a.m. Monday.

Williams was arrested at 6 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Kamehameha Highway and Paleka Road in Kaneohe.

The 51-year-old was serving time for theft and violation of an order for protection. His next parole hearing is scheduled for October of this year.
