New athletics complex dedicated at UH-Manoa

Local News

Student athletes at the University of Hawaii-Manoa have a new area to practice and hold their games, as a new athletics complex was blessed and dedicated Friday after nearly three years of construction.

The Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex is a three-story facility on the lower campus located on the mauka side of Ching Field.

The complex has offices, locker rooms and a meeting room for women’s soccer, cross country, track and field, and sand volleyball. It also has a sand volleyball venue with 778 seats and two competition courts. The entire complex seats approximately 4,100.

Furniture and equipment still needs to be added to the upper floors of the building, as well as possible expansion of the track and an indoor soccer field.
