Motorcyclist killed in Waipahu crash identified as Ewa Beach man

A 31-year-old man from Ewa Beach who died after crashing his motorcycle on Waipahu Street near Hoaeae Street has been identified as Blake Nahinu of Ewa Beach. 

The incident was reported around 9:50 p.m. 

Honolulu police say the motorcyclist was speeding without its headlights on when he ran into a car being driven by a 65-year-old Waipahu woman. 

The motorcyclist was then thrown about 60-feet before landing on a parked car. 

He was taken to the hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced dead. 

Police say he was not wearing a helmet. 

It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were factors.
