Mothers, families, potential parents flock to annual New Baby Expo

Local News

Having a baby or going to have a baby, mothers know the New Baby Expo is the place to go.

The 18th annual event started Saturday, May 16, at the Blaisdell and will run again Sunday, May 17 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Saturday’s event included a baby crawling contest, and Sunday, at 2 p.m., will be Hawaii’s largest baby shower.

Demonstrations, more than 150 products and services, as well as anything you can think of that has to do with a newborn child to a 5-year-old.

The expo is of course child-friendly, featuring a private nursing area, a baby changing station and extra-wide aisles to accommodate strollers.

Clifford, the Big Red Dog, also made an appearance, greeting and posing with kids for memorable pictures.
