For the second time in three months, a female student at Kawananakoa Middle School was followed and approached by a stranger on her way to school.

That’s according to a letter sent home from the school principal to parents and guardians Friday. In it, the principal also says the stranger was in a car and that the student took correct action and ran away, and that police were notified.

The letter goes on to provide safety measures that should be discussed with children.
