Medical Marijuana patients can renew certification cards for 2 years

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Starting Thursday, the Health Department will allow medical marijuana patients to renew their certification cards for up to two years.

To qualify, the patient must be renewing with a physician who certified them in a previous year. The physician must also verify that the patient’s condition is chronic in nature.

Patients can submit their renewal application online as early as 60 days before their registration cards expire.
