Mayor Kirk Caldwell will render a decision on the city and HART budget bills for the upcoming fiscal year on Friday. 

The 2019 fiscal year will begin on July 1. 

The mayor will address the $44 million appropriation contained in the HART capital budget, Bill 22 (2018), CD2, and the issue surrounding the transfer of funds to the transit authority, as well as Bill 42, which would amend Ordinance 07-001 to allow the City and County of Honolulu to expend its funds for the construction of the Honolulu rail transit project.
