Man wanted for questioning in Hawaii Island harassment investigation

Hawaii Island police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 37-year-old man wanted for questioning in connection with an ongoing investigation of an alleged repeated campaign of harassment in a Waikoloa Village neighborhood.

Matthew P. McGill is described as 6-foot-8, 285 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. His last known address was in Waikoloa.

As part of this ongoing investigation, Joshua Honcoop, 24, of Waikoloa Village was arrested Thursday, Dec. 10, and charged with harassment, harassment by stalking and disorderly conduct. He was released after posting $1,250 bail.

Police ask anyone with information about McGill’s whereabouts to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.
