The man accused of trying to run over two police officers has been charged.

Sean Michael Shipe, 22, appeared in court Monday, March 2, for criminal property damage and terroristic threatening charges.

His bail was confirmed at $200,000.

Shipe allegedly led police on a wild chase that ended on Pali Highway on the afternoon of Thursday, Feb. 26.

Honolulu police say it started when a solo bike officer tried to pull over Shipe for speeding on the H-3 Freeway.

But police say he kept going and then allegedly tried to run the officer over.

Shipe then led officers on a chase for several minutes, and even tried to run over another officer by Waokanaka Street.

Shipe was eventually caught after he hit a truck on Pali Highway near Castle Junction. Police closed two lanes to investigate and clear that second scene.

The officers were not hurt and Shipe was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

According to past court records, Shipe has had his share of traffic citations, including a no-contest plea to racing a year ago and speeding in 2012.
