Man arrested after assaulting city bus driver in Kunia

Local News

A city bus passenger was arrested Saturday evening after assaulting a bus driver.

Honolulu police say a 45-year-old man riding the bus in the Kunia area got upset because he missed his stop at about 6:15 p.m.

They say the passenger confronted the 49-year-old driver while the bus was moving.

The driver then stopped the bus, and police say that’s when the passenger assaulted him.

The passenger was arrested for interference of an operator of a public transit vehicle.
