HONOLULU (KHON2) — May Day is Lei Day in Hawai’i Nei and folks in Kakaako went all-out to celebrate.
There was a celebration of the lei on Saturday, May 1.

Music, hula, lei demonstrations and a scavenger hunt all took place at SALT at Our Kaka’ako.
Auahi Street was also closed off to allow folks to dance and show off their moves safely.
There is also a chance to make lei for loved ones.
The celebration runs through 8 p.m. Saturday.
