Lanes reopened on Likelike Hwy. after motorcycle crash

Honolulu police have reopened the southbound lanes of Likelike Highway after a motorcycle crash.

It happened at around 3:10 p.m. between Gulick Avenue and Kono Street.

Police said the rider, a 28-year-old woman from Kaneohe, was speeding southbound when she lost control and suffered critical head injuries. She was not wearing a helmet.

Paramedics took her to Queen’s Medical Center in critical condition.

Traffic was diverted at Kono Street onto Wilson Street until around 4:50 p.m.
