Kona-bound flight makes emergency return to San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) – A San Francisco International Airport official confirmed that a United Airlines flight headed to Hawaii made an emergency return to SFO Thursday morning.

Flight 1721 departed SFO at about 9 a.m. for Kona, Hawaii returned because of a “cabin cooling problem,” SFO officials said.

Officials could not say what caused the problem and no other information about the incident was available.
