Kauai police are asking the public for information on two brush fires that broke out in Anahola this week.
The first fire appeared to have started from an abandoned vehicle that was set ablaze shortly before midnight on Tuesday.
Firefighters from the Kaiakea station responded to the open field below Pilipoli Road and had the fire extinguished by 1 a.m.
Then on Wednesday afternoon, fire personnel from the Kaiakea and Kapaa stations were back in Anahola for a separate brush fire that broke out near Pilipoli Road at around 2:40 p.m.
Air 1 assisted in making water drops to the roughly two-acre fire. Firefighters had the blaze under control by 4 p.m.
No injuries or damage to structures were reported.
Kauai police urge anyone with information on the cause of the fires to call Police Dispatch at 241-1711.
