Two men accused of a brutal attack at Kamehameha Shopping Center have been charged.
Police say the incident happened at around 5:30 p.m. Monday.
Reno and Ian Faletogo were arrested shortly after the attack.
Reno Faletogo was released after posting $1,100 bail: $1,000 for third-degree assault and $100 for contempt.
Ian Faletogo was released after posting $2,000 bail: $1,000 for third-degree assault and $1,000 for terroristic threatening.
We’re told the victim suffered substantial bodily injuries, but is recovering.
According to Palama Settlement’s Pakolea Program website, Ian Faletogo is a youth specialist for the program.
Palama Settlement executive director Wendy Abe released the following statement:
Palama Settlement learned on Tuesday one of its Pakolea staff member (sic) was involved in an incident Monday at Kamehameha Shopping Center. We have not been provided with specific details regarding the incident, but we are staying apprised of the situation. Palama Settlement continues to follow its policies to ensure the safety of our participants and guests and we have, and will take appropriate administrative action as needed.
