Recruiters from more than 275 local businesses, mainland organizations, military branches and government agencies will be accepting applications for available jobs on Tuesday, Sept. 22, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Neal S. Blaisdell Center.
“With 23 first-time exhibitors, we’ve broken a record,” said Beth Busch, executive director of Job Quest. “We think this is a good indication that Hawaii’s economy is strong and continues to improve.”
New exhibitors include Bloomingdales, Ansaldo Honolulu, Atlas Construction, Magnolia Bakery Cafe, CVS/Longs Drugs, CorePower Yoga, Big Island Candies, Honolulu Ford Lincoln and Victoria’s Secret.
Navy Exchange Pearl Harbor (NEX) will be hiring cashiers and other seasonal positions.
Other big employers include Disney Aulani, Hawaii Independent Energy (including Mid-Pac Petroleum), Hawaiian Host, Best Buy, and the City and County of Honolulu.
The State of Hawaii will be recruiting for hundreds of positions in nine different departments, including Transportation, Public Safety, Agriculture and Labor and Industrial Relations.
General admission to the event is $3; military, students and seniors with a valid ID will be admitted for $1.
