School started today for several University of Hawaii students.
For some HPU students it was move-in day!
They’re now occupying all those dorms in Aloha Tower Marketplace that were just completed last month.
We talked to one student who told us the new rooms were one of the primary reasons he switched to HPU.
“This was one of the really big incentives of me coming to HPU. I visited the Hawaii Loa Campus, and it’s nice. It’s a college campus, but these are phenomenal. These dorms are unlike any dorms in the nation. I have never seen dorms like this,” said sophomore Ryan Roberts.
Aloha Tower is still open to the public.
Several new eating and retail spots are being added to the existing restaurants that have called the marketplace home for years.
