Honolulu Hale lights up with French tri-colors in honor of victims of Paris attacks

Local News

Honolulu Hale is shining bright with blue, white and red lights Saturday night to support Paris, France, and in respect for the victims of the attacks of terror that shook the world Friday.

Mayor Kirk Caldwell made the announcement earlier Saturday, releasing the following statement:

“Honolulu mourns with the rest of the world for the victims of the attacks in Paris, France,” said Mayor Kirk Caldwell.  “Martin Luther King, Jr. said that ‘Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.’  We will be lighting Honolulu Hale in the colors of the French flag in support of the people of Paris during this horrific tragedy.”
