Honolulu Hale is getting into the Christmas spirit.
With Christmas more than a month away, workers started setting up decorations.
Then on Wednesday, Nov. 15, crews installed a 70-foot Norfolk Pine on the front lawn. The tree was harvested from a Waikele residence in the fittingly named Royal Pines subdivision.
The tree, which was donated anonymously by the original property owner, is estimated to be 25 years old.
Over the next few weeks, crews will adorn the tree in lights and festive decorations ahead of this year’s Honolulu City Lights celebration.
The holiday festivities kick off on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 4 to 11 p.m.
There will be food booths and rides for the kids, followed by the tree lighting ceremony and the electric light parade.Click here for more information.
