HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Honolulu Fire Department said they responded to the scene of a reported brush fire near Kunia Drive and Paani Street.

They received a call about the incident at 1:01 p.m. and a total of 18 resource units staffed with 48 personnel responded.

HFD said the fire was contained by 2:38 p.m. and there were no mandatory evacuation orders or structures damaged.

The estimated burn area was two acres within the same area as a previous fire that sparked on Thursday. However, HFD said it is unknown if there is any connection between the two incidents.
