Hawaii’s Most Wanted: Gerett Ebinger

The Honolulu Police Department is asking the public for help in finding, 50-year-old Gerett Ebinger who was arrested for theft, and now wanted for violating probation. 

Officials say on Oct. 21, 2011, the complainant withdrew $20,000 from his credit union located in the Kakaako area and placed it into his bag. As he walked to his vehicle, a male snatched the complainants bag and fled into an awaiting vehicle. 

Police were notified and obtained video surveillance and witness statements.

Through investigation, the male who took the complainants bag was identified as Gerett Ebinger. He was later located, and placed under arrest for theft in the First Degree. 

Ebinger is now wanted on a $20,000 cash only bench warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of HOPE probation. 

He is known to frequent the Honolulu area.
