This Friday, E.K. Fernandez is teaming up with the Department of Education’s Office of Hawaiian Education for a night celebrating ʻŌlelo Hawai’i or the Hawaiian language.

Signage throughout the fair will be in Hawaiian including food menus and rules for carnival games.

Hawaiian-speaking volunteers will also be there alongside E.K. Fernandez staff at rides, games and food booths.

As an added plus, the first 4,000 people who ask for their admission ticket in Hawaiian will get in free.

Hint: “I likiki kāniwala naʻu, ke ʻoluʻolu?” or May I have a carnival ticket, please?
