Hanauma Bay is back open on Saturday after being closed on Friday because of high levels of bacteria in the water.

Water testing conducted by the state Department of Health showed levels of 137 per 100 mL of enterococci in the water.  The high bacteria count advisory was dropped after levels no longer exceeded the threshold of 130 enterococci per 100 mL.

The Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve is open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. except on Tuesdays.
