Goodwill Hawaii is creating a new Honolulu Career and Learning Center.
The organization held a groundbreaking ceremony today at its current Beretania store and donation center.
Once completed, the two-story, $9 mil. center will help people find jobs, as well as prepare them with employment skills, offer financial literacy classes, and help file taxes.
“Here at goodwill we believe everyone should have opportunity to be gainfully employed regardless of any barriers,” said Goodwill Hawaii Board Chair Bryan Andaya. “Whether you have a physical disability, mental incapacity, or any challenge you might face. Our services will help more than 6,000 people to secure higher paying jobs. That’s approximately two times more than we are currently serving here in Beretania.”
The center will also feature an expanded store, drive-thru center, and 86 additional parking spaces.
