Funnel cloud forms on Molokai

Several Molokai residents spotted a funnel cloud Wednesday afternoon.

James Wilfred Poaha shared a video taken on the west side of the island.

A funnel cloud is a tornado that doesn’t touch the ground.

It usually forms in the afternoon when wind is light and there’s a lot of heat.

It’s not uncommon for Molokai. Funnel clouds typically appear once or twice a year there.
