The man accused of killing his foster mom has pled guilty.
In July of 2014…Kaanoi Kipapa stabbed his foster mom, 52-year-old Jolyn Kipapa, to death in their Waimanalo home.
He was just 16 years old at the time, and charged as an adult with second degree murder.
As part of the plea deal, Kipapa pled guilty to manslaughter.
He faces 20 years in prison when sentenced in May.
Jolyn and her husband opened their home to foster children over the years and she was well-known in the community.
