Former State Sen. Clayton Hee confirmed Monday that he is withdrawing from the race for governor.
Hee cites the cause of the withdrawal is that he can’t outspend the other two candidates, Gov. David Ige and Rep. Colleen Hanabusa.
Hee was previously the house representative, the state senate, a Trustee for OHA and most recently a State Senator for district 23.
Hee will run for in the senate race for District 23 instead.
