HONOLULU (KHON2) — A 25-year-old man died in a three-car crash Wednesday morning, November 13, that happened on the H-2 Freeway northbound prior to Ka Uka Blvd.
The crash happened just after 9:30 a.m.
Police say that a vehicle was traveling northbound on the H-2 when it lost control and struck two other vehicles.
The driver of the vehicle that lost control was in good condition, however, the passenger was taken to the hospital in critical condition where the passenger later died.
He was identified by the medical examiner as Trey Furumori.
The drivers of the two vehicles that were struck were reportedly in good condition.
Police said that speed may have been a factor while alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors.
The freeway was re-opened shortly after 1 p.m.
