Friday is the last day of service for the Driver Licensing facility at Dillingham Square as the office will relocate to the new, upgraded Kapalama Hale at 925 Dillingham Blvd.
Kapalama Hale is the new name of what was formerly known as the Sprint Building, located makai of Honolulu Community College, at the corner of Dillingham Boulevard and Alakawa Street.
In an effort to minimize move-related impacts on the public, the move will primarily take place during the weekend. This move follows the closure and relocation of the Kalihi Satellite City Hall, which had a soft opening on Tuesday.
The new Driver Licensing Center will have a soft opening to the public on Tuesday, June 28, with services provided from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. The center will provide State ID and driver licensing services to the public, including written driver license tests; driver license road tests, and driver license renewals. Additionally, the facility will include the office of Financial Responsibility.
Intermittent delays in service may be experienced during the first few days, therefore customers with convenient access to other Driver Licensing Centers may wish to utilize those facilities during the soft opening. All other Driver Licensing centers will be operating normally, including in Kaneohe, Kapolei, Wahiawa, and Waianae. For more information regarding alternate locations, click here.
Additional city offices, including the Equal Opportunity Office, the Neighborhood Commission Office, and the Department of Community Services, will follow during the next several months.
