HONOLULU (KHON2) — A park in the middle of Downtown Honolulu will be closed for the next six weeks.

Starting Wednesday, crews will block off Dr.Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Park, right next to the Hawaii Theater, so they can work on rewiring electrical lines.

Officials with the Department of Parks and Recreation are apologizing for the inconvenience.
