HONOLULU (KHON2) — The City and County of Honolulu said that Vineyard Boulevard is closed in both directions between Nuuanu Avenue and Aala Street due to a downed tree. As of now, only the eastbound lanes are open with one westbound lane open as well.

The Hawaii Department of Transportation said that crews are currently on scene, working to remove the tree. No traffic lights are affected, however, there is no ETA on when the westbound lanes will open back up.

Additionally, a second tree has fallen later in the evening on Vineyard Boulevard and Punchbowl Street. Officials have yet to confirm whether or not any lanes or roads are closed.
